The Chaptrack is a multi-functional tool carrier for forestry, utility, rail and municipal work

the rear of the chaptrack

The back of the Chaptrack is equally as multifunctional. It is easily adaptable to the needs of the user, for example one can easily use a verge cutter or a crane, as well as a wide range of other equipment.

The Sauer Danfoss® hydrostatic transmission allows a continuous power supply to the most demanding tools.

the cabin

It is air conditioned, pressurised, offering 360-degree visibility, making lateral jobs – hedge and verge cutting – much easier.

The windows are made from polycarbonate. The luxury seat has pneumatic suspension, and offers 180° rotation, enabling the user to be facing the tools, thus creating an intuitive and ergonomic relationship between man and machine.

The panoramic cabin is armoured, air conditioned, pressurised, and FOPS/ROPS approved. Particular attention was paid to comfort and ergonomics. Both sound and heat proofing have been maximised.

the front lift arms

• Over 2m of vertical lift.

• Rapid (SETRA DIN Plate) SAE mounting for a wide range of attachments.

• A category II agricultural adapter plate.

• A hydraulic PTO that will run standard PTO chippers, mulchers or any other PTO shaft attachment.

Depending on the tools, the SETRA DINplate can be fixed in place (forestry grinder, grapple/grab, stump grinder) or in a parallelogram for snow blowers, fork lifts or augers.

A compact design, ultra-low center of gravity, central cabin and 4-wheel drive/4-wheel steer/4-wheel crab-steer and cross-axle diff-locks – all ensure that the Chaptrack is stable and efficient whatever the terrain – even competing with the majority of tracked machines for slope stability.

tech Specs

The Chaptrack aims to be an upgradeable and easy to use forestry carrier with versatile tyres. Its compact size makes for a very manageable machine, with a turning radius is only 2972mm.

With its low centre of gravity, central cabin, and four-wheel steering the Chaptrack is comfortable, stable and efficient on all types of terrain, even competing with most slope tractors or tracked vehicles.

The Chaptrack’s capabilities make it unique as a forestry tractor, as well as many other utility roles. It excels in demanding power line and ROW work, highway maintenance or civil engineering work.

linkages

The front linkage with a capacity of 6.2 tons can fit a vast number of tools, either by agricultural hitch or on the Setra SAE plate.

The front power PTO connection generates 218 BHP. The front arms, up to 3m long have a lift height of 3m – a market leader.

The optional rear linkage has a capacity of 4.3 tonnes and the PTO power connection is 206BHP.

transmission

Smooth, step-less transmission, with continuous progression allows for a comfortable operator driving experience. The transmission is made by SAUER BIBUS. Maximum power is maintained no matter which gear is used.

The Chaptrack is safe to operate and drive at 40km/h on public roads.

steering

The Chaptrack is agile and easy to use, featuring four steering modes.

  • Crab/offset
  • Four-wheel steering.
  • Two-wheel steering.
  • Diff-locks and axles. Made by DANA, with model 223-4 satellites. These axles have a high load capacity and their robust nature responds perfectly to the demands of forestry work. They also have an articulation of 36°.

chassis

The machine-welded chassis is reinforced and designed to manage tools such as cranes, winches, decks or verge cutters, without any modifications.

Its design and shape, allows for a perfectly integrated engine and has a very low center of gravity. The chassis is fully reinforced.

    Grinding/Brushwood Clearing

The power of the Chaptrack’s 280 BHB and the maneuverability of its 4-wheel steering, means that this machine is ideal for forestry mulching work.

Its panoramic cabin, air conditioned, pressurised and sound proofed, brings maximum comfort and visibility to the user.

On difficult terrain and slopes, the Chaptrack knows instinctively how to adapt, thanks to its exceptional capabilities of grip and in clearing obstacles. It’s the low center of gravity (50cm from the floor) allows for outstanding stability.

The Chaptrack can be equipped with any mulcher head of your choice – either PTO or hydraulic powered.

The Chaptrack, equipped with a  mulcher on the front and a crane with grapple at the rear, makes a superb skidder platform. The machine will also carry a 10 reach flail or saw boom.

    River Maintenance

For river maintenance, the Chaptrack is equipped with a reverse station and a crane, meaning that it can be used in a variety of tasks on the work-site.

Equipped with a multitude of tools, the Chaptrack allows you to have several machines – all in one. With a total permitted weight of 24 tons, the Chaptrack can easily pull a forestry trailer.

The Chaptrack can be fitted with a crane, chipper, and chip-box on front lift-arms.

    Skidding

The Chaptrack’s versatility is shown through its capacities in skidding. With its four-wheel drive and small size, it is extremely agile and versatile in the forest and therefore maximises your investment.

With a weight of less than 8 tonnes, and a load distribution of 50% per axle, the Chaptrack maintains and preserves the nature of the soil and appearance of your work site.

The Chaptrack can be fitted with any SAE mounting crane.

    Road Maintenance

Thanks to the Chaptrack’s versatility, it can easily adapt to road maintenance. Its compact nature and maneuverability thanks to its four-wheel steering make it ideal for roads and road-side maintenance.
